Progress Performance of the State-Owned Namibia Road Contractor Company (RCC) is extremely
poor (only 6km of the B Layer in 14 Months while nearly a Hundred Years ago (December 1905
to November 1906), the Germans completed the whole Railway Line from Lüderitz to Aus in
11 months (148 km)).

Major Problems on Roads Contractor Company Section (RCC):
In spite of repeated requests from the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication, the Consulting Engineer and the Chairman of the board of Directors of TransNamib Holdings Ltd., to the RCC to speed up production and to mobilise three complete working teams, no improvement is visible with the result that the Contract is already some ten months behind on the original programme; | |||||
The Sub-Contractor "Salz Gossow" has already been appointed to take over 55% of the contract, but it has become evident that the RCC will not be able to complete their 45% of the Contract by the Completion Date (August 2003); | |||||
